+ How to prepare before the session?

  • Forward over a copy of the script with any audition notes or performance cues to thedigireader@gmail.com at least 20 mins before the scheduled session time.

  • Test your internet connection on your computer, check the volume is turned on, and that the microphone is working properly. (Viber, Zoom, & Skype all have audio and video testing features to easily check this)

  • Make sure to have a copy of the sides handy. No matter how prepared you may be it is never a bad idea to keep those close.

  • Make sure to rehearse any choreographed movement beforehand. (ie. walking into or out of scene, standing, sitting, etc.)

  • Double check the essentials. Is all of your equipment set up? Have you checked your frame? Have you checked your lighting? Is the phone or tablet that you will have your Digi-Reader casting from close enough from the camera to be heard but doesn't over power your voice? If the script requires a certain prop make sure that is easily accessible during filming?

+ Is there a special video conferencing app that I need?

  • Not at all! Clients have had sessions over FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangout, Zoom, & Viber; just to name a few.

+ When does the session begin?

  • The time confirmed in your booking is your call-in time. Once we are connected, the session can begin. I recommend calling in a couple minutes before the call-in time; just in case of any technical issues.

+ This is my first session, what should I expect?

  • WELCOME! Since it is your first session, you receive complimentary time at the beginning of your session for an introductory meeting with me. This allows time for us to chat a little so you feel as comfortable as possible before starting. Other than that, it's nothing more than a traditional audition scenario.

+ Is there a limit on the number of takes per session?

  • No. We can do as many or as little takes as you prefer within your alloted time frame. You are in control of the breakdown of your session. If you want to run the scene 6 times in a row, Let's do it! If you want to record two separate scenes during your session, Excellent! Just let me know when you forward over the script or at the beginning of the session.

+ What is a common session like?

  • A common session usually begins with the client performing a quick minute test recording to make sure that their set up is correct. Then we begin running the scene.
  • Again, the breakdown of the session depends on how you, the client, feels about the material. We can run it a couple of times back to back, try a couple of different tones, or do a couple of takes, review it and film a couple more. The session time is for you to work and feel great about your audition.
  • I would recommend thinking about how you would like the session to go when booking the session length. If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am more than happy to help you choose the best session for your needs.

+ Do you ever do in-person sessions?

  • Currently, I am not conducting in-person sessions. When in-person sessions become available there will be a notification sent to clients in the LA area.

+What is your cancellation/late policy?

  • Cancellation of scheduled appointments must be made 2 hours prior. Emergency cancellations should be made by texting 646-791-6102.
  • A one time courtesy rescheduling will be provided to each client. After that, the cancellation fee is 50% of the original booking rate.
  • Cancellations made less than 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time will have to pay for the full rate session. No refunds or reduced rates provided. Illness is not an exception.
